I’m proud to share that I have officially graduated from the ๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ (๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ญ)! ๐โจ
Over the course of six transformative weeks, starting on October 16, 2024, I joined over 100 mentees and 25 mentors from around the globe ๐. Together, we collaborated to enhance our skills, contribute to the WordPress project, and deepen our understanding of open-source development.
This program, organized by the ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ, has been a remarkable journey. ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐โ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ก๐๐ญ ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ค๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ค๐:
๐ Weeks 1โ2: Orientation sessions, mentor introductions, and goal-setting.
๐ ๏ธ Weeks 3โ4: Hands-on contributions to WordPress teams and projects.
๐ Weeks 5โ6: Continued contributions, drafting 30-60-90 day plans, and finallyโgraduation!
I contributed to ๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐.๐ and participated in release parties!
Some key highlights:
๐ 242 props from mentors and mentees, with 160 props by mentees alone.
๐ 14 first-time contributors joined the WordPress project.
๐ 176,156 strings translated into 31 languages during WordPress Translation Week!
